The face behind the Enhanced Wellbeing Academy.
The face behind the Enhanced Wellbeing Academy (EWA) is Dr. Joyce Vromen.
Joyce has 20 years experience as a mental health researcher and teacher at universities across the world including Oxford University, NYU, the University of Queensland, and the University of Amsterdam. Furthermore, Joyce is also an experienced mental health clinician & (online) business owner.
Joyce has been on a journey of intentionally growing her mental well-being through midlife and has experienced several episodes of psychotic depression. Joyce’s experience has been that psychosis is not openly discussed and surrounded by stigma. This leaves many experiencing psychosis feeling isolated, with limited information, and wondering whether a meaningful & successful life is possible for them.
The Enhanced Wellbeing Academy (EWA) contributes to breaking this silence, provides solid information, and a community to belong. EWA is a community that allows Joyce to draw on her wide range of professional as well as personal experiences. Through EWA, Joyce hopes to inspire, connect, and empower those with experience of psychotic depression and psychosis.
